Hmmm Power issues when engine is warm/hot

Can anyone please tell me they have a problem like mine

Since i've had the car a few months i've had the following replaced:
MAF, Lambda sensor, BMC CDA fitted, new plugs & leads, Oil change.

Now my problem is that when the car is cold it runs a dream and the power is there, however when the engine is hot the power upon acceleration is considerably lower and also sometimes when i'm in town traffic and only touching the accelerator the car starts to idle around 1300rpm and after a quick "blip" of the accelerator it returns to normal.

I do know that my ECU does not know the speed the car is travelling as it has shown on the diagnostics at alfatechnico and was wondering if the ECU is shagged.

Can anyone please help me?

I'm unsure on alfa's as I've only had mine just over a month but is there two engine temp sensors??
On other cars theres one for the temp gauge and one for the ecu, if there is one specific temp sensor for the ecu and its faulty then the cars fuelling would be incorrect when the engine temp is normal.

Just an idea....

CDA?? I know it sounds silly but you don't think the CDA is starving the car of air in high temps?

The idling speed problem can have a whole range of causes, and might not necessarily be from the same cause as your power loss.

I reckon the CDA is allowing the engine to suck in hot air when the engine is hot.

Hot air is less dense (so contains less oxygen) plus if the intake air is very hot the ECU may retard the ignition timing to prevent pinking.

You might be able to turn the CDA around to allow it to suck in cooler air, but as it is positioned next to the hot manifold and radiator its always going to suck in some warm air.
