GTV Drivers seat frame

Hi Folks,

I have a 1997 Phase 1 GTV with black leather seats.
A good while ago, when I sat into the drivers seat, the back of it leaned to the left.
I brought it to an upholsterer who got the frame welded and it fixed the problem for a while, but unfortunately the lean has returned
I don't want to go down the welding route again and a new seat is way too expensive.
I have found a breaker with a 97 GTV cloth seat.
I phoned the upholsterer who said it would be no problem putting the leather onto the new frame if it was exactly the same.

Does anyone know if the frame is the same in the cloth seats as it is in the leather seats?
I'd be quite sure it is, but I have a good drive to go and get the cloth seat.

Im in the process od dismantling a good passenger leather seat and at the moment i hope that its simply a matter of unbolting the seat and side panels but! no doubt it will be much more complicated

As for your question, i believe they are the same!
