Had to remove the drivers seat on my gtv to repair a small tear in it this weekend so unbolted it disconnected the wiring underneath an out she popped, did the job and put everything back hunky dory. Well not actually cause now the airbag warning light is permanently on, rang my local Alfa main steeler oops sorry dealer an he said if it was just a reset job it would be 1 hrs labour at £68 (where the ****** do they get their prices from) and that was not guaranteed to cure it as there might be a problem with the seat belt pre tensioners, I thought I had just rang Jeremy Beadle !!! rant Could always just remove the bulb any thoughts ?
Did you get any joy with re-setting your air bag warning light? I've got exactly the same problem, mine was caused by me replacing fuses while fault finding on an entirely un-related circuit and I am extremely pis*ed off about it!
Find a local independant garage who will do it for a bit of cash. It takes about 5 minutes. Fuel injection specialists are usually a good start. Don't know if the GTV has a seperate 3pin connector for the airbag ECU or if it is done via the 16pin OBDII connector. Either way, they are fairly standard connectors.
