guys i accept the criticism, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and base their impressions on other cars they've driven. In Australia the GTV6 is a $90,000 ask! Thats alot of money to pay for an 8yr old chassis and Korean Food Processor plastic quality. It is the oldest car in the lineup, and i welcome a new GTV6, even the GT coupe id love to buy, but that wont land in Aus for a few yrs yet. Id just like to note here that i also have a mint 89' GTV6 GP with an original 90,000kms on the clock, so my opinions r far from biased. I would share my thoughts on GTV6 forum but thatd b like posting on my350z.com that the new Jap cars still lack soul and character.
Ive looked at the 156GTA and 147GTA. I had a 156GTA for the weekend, and my dad and i agreed that it wasnt worth the money. A view shared by alot of motorists, given dealers here have been advertising the same cars for now 20K less than RRP. Also, i have a 156 now, and want something different. The 147 is just not my cup of tea, just dont like the look of it or the interior which does away with all the Alfa design themes, hooded dials, 3 centre guages, etc. Im sure the 147GTA is a great little car, but im not into that whole hot hatch thing.
I really like the look of the new GT Coupe, and the thought of owning the rumoured 4WD GTA version has stirred a rude awakening in my Y-Fronts. But good things come to those that wait LOL In the meantime ill prob end up buying a 3.0L 6speed Z4 at yrs end. Sure its clinical, boring (hmmmm better drive than boxster IMO) bla bla bla, it doesnt have the Alfa soul granted, but at least in 2yrs time i can sell it and get back alot of my money to put towards a GT Coupe.
