I am a big fan of Eagle F1s, and have used both GS-D2 and GS-D3s in the past.
I'm currently running on GS-D3s which look like they will get to about 15k miles on the front. The rears look like they will go on forever at the moment. The last pair on the front lasted about 8k, but needed replacing due to excessive wear on the inner edge rather than overall wear.
The F1's certainly won't last forever, and don't expect as much out of them as your Eagle Touring, but they will really stick you to the road and they are the best tyre I've known in the wet.
I've no technical opinion on directional versus asymmetrical, but I do think the directional F1's have a really nice tread pattern wink
I also don't know much about the run flat tyres but I don't have a spare wheel at all, instead I have an 'instant mobility system' which frankly I doubt will be either 'instant' or much of a 'mobility system' when I actually need it! Still, it might be worth considering, the gain in boot space is quite a tempting benefit!

Rick - have you made a decision about your tyres yet??
