I have recently fitted a chip and a BMC CDA system, I am about to have a Long Life exhaust fitted, then I am going to fit a road race cam. I have spoken to Piper Cams who said they don't make one for the GTV but they can cut my original cam to a racing spec for £180 or my second choice is Poweralfa who sell a race cam at £450. Has anyone had any experience here who can perhaps share there thoughts on whats the best option.
If you are using it on the road, I am sure you don't mean a full race cam!!
You would have an idle at about 2000, no power below 4,000 and your clutch would last about 5,000 miles as you would be slipping it so much!! You would also have to dramatically alter your fuelling and air, and raise the rev limit.
Contact EB Spares who will sell you a fast road cam which is much more sensible. Is it a 2.0 TS?? They will also sell you a pair, as your engine needs two.
Let me know how this goes Tony, I too am very interested in getting some new cams. I think autodelta do the cams & a remap together for quite a good price. I would have thought you'd need a remap to take real advantage from them...

What are the contact details for this Tony Porter. I spoke to EB Spares and he is also asking £450 for fast road cams. He is e-mailig me the spec as I wish to compare the valve lift etc to autodeltas cam.
