Just had a new starter motor fitted under warranty.. all good, but came to switch on the stereo and found its asking for the code...
now i brought the car in September from a dealer and don't seem to have any reference to the code...
I am beggining to understand how Alfa dealears have come last in most polls on service... they have managed to mess up quite a few other things too inclduing a drivers door that now lets in loads of wind..
I had a problme with the code on my Clarion unit in the GTV. I took it to a local audio firm (Audio Island) who said they could decode it for £20 no problem.
One of the guys took out the radio and lo and behold the previous owner had written the code on the underside! Great for me, **** for security!
If you whip it out (and the radio) you might get lucky (sounds like good advice!) otherwise it should be twenty richardson's tops.
I've just been into my local Alfa dealer at lunch and they said they'd do it for a tenner. Need to turn up with the logbook and they then can fax off for the code apparently... there musb e some big master alfa database with all this stuff on it.
