dont think you'd get a good idea of whats going on though.
but if that's all you have why dont you give it a shot. i'd set it to read AC voltage (assuming it is giving a sqaure wave or some such? not a varying DC voltage?
) and see if there is anything. if it stays 0v then there is a problem in the sensor/generator IMO. if there is SOMETHING, then (again, IMO), the speedo should move. if i were you i'd try to check it with an oscilloscope/scopemeter though. best thing is to check if the signal changes while varying the speed... if thats possible
oh btw, you would have to perform this check not a 0km/hr, obviously. you have to be moving.
