Hello from Texas,
I bought an 87 Alfa Spider, drove it about 1K miles and the clutch went out. I have the shop manual and am at the stage of removal of the unit. The manual simply states to remove the bolts holding the bell housing to the engine, not forgetting the 3 bolts holding the starter. Any tips on doing this -? No room really, except for my leprechaun and he doesn't have the wrist strength.
It was a slipping. I rebuilt both cylinders but then realized that the arm sticking out and contacting with the slave push rod was just flapping around. Upon close inspection through the opening I see that the spring is still inplace, so I figure it has to be the throw out bearing.....
