I fitted a universal ariel to my Sprint (purchased from my local Kmart) and it was a lot cheaper than buying an Alfa one. It works fine. Unless you need an electrical ariel thats a funny shape (eg. there is limited room in the compartment to fit the electric motor) then I can't see why it wouldn't work.
Spookier still - left my pride and joy in an airport carpark for acouple of weeks - came back and the aerial stuck when going down. Luckily I have a remote control stereo, so I could flick the aeriel up and down whilst pushing and pulling it. This seemed to do the trick - I'm sure a bit of WD40 may have helped as well, if you have some to hand.
