well the first couple of weeks when I had my car, I had no radio
fitted, just to get used to the enginesound and carnoise. Then after
three weeks, I took my Sony Minidisc headunit which I had in my 155
I realy love music, but I don't think you have to drive a "Boombox on
wheels" to have a good sound, if you get my point, to enjoy music it
has to be clean and clear. But the accoustics are realy bad and so are
the bog standard loudspeakers.
So I'm using the Sony, with a Clarion SRV303 active Subwoofer mounted
in the boot (where the spar wheel used to sit), the original tweeters
and Boston Acoustics FX8 speakers (7" x 5" ) are fitted in the doors,
driven by a 2x90W Caliber amplifier. Currently I'm not using the
rearshelf speakers (165mm). This combination is kinda allright, but I
still turn of the radio every now and then just to hear the engine
