I'm new and have an engine question. ---> SOLVED !
First let me introduce myself,
I'm Ronald and I live in the Amsterdam area ( yep, that's HOlland ).
First I owned a 1996 Alfa 155 1.8TS, but recently ( 3 weeks ago ) I bought a 1997 GTV 3.0 v6 24v Lusso. Man, what a car ! A dream on wheels. Oh and the milage is now 17.000km.
The first thing I did when I got it, was change the cambelt, build in a proper Class 3 alarm and the best radar detector I could get my hands on.
First all seemed fine. Now I'm starting to get to know the car, there's one thing which I noticed lately, It is that no matter if the engine is cold or well warm driven quite often during slow acceleration ( like in trafficjam or on the city ) it looks like A: the engine looses it's torque, B: sometimes it just misses a spark, C: the fuel intake is temp. less then normal.
It doesn't rev. up or down.
This phenomenen does not occur during fast accelerating i.e when I push the pedal to the floor.
Damn ! This is hard to explain !
Basicly it looks like I push the pedal in and out rapidly ( but I don't do that ) without the rev. needle going up and down, it's just that the want to start to hop.
I didn't notice this during the test drives / or it just started recently ( I really dunno ) .
The previous owner lives in Germany so there's no real warranty.
So I know what to tell the guys from the garage to look for, I know I might just as well tell them this whole story, but it would be appreciated if one of you guys could give me a clue.
