Saw another Cup today in Perrys at Aylesbury (Alfa dealer). It wasn`t brand new (on a Y plate)but was absolutely gleaming as though it had just been pampered.I must say it looked absolutely awesome.I really like the vented front wings too.A question for you Kenny.Have the 17"alloys on the Cup got a different finish to the standard wheels.Looked somehow shinier than normal. Not sure about the finish on the alloys Pete but yes they were definitely *very* shiny when I picked it up. There's a silver V6 GTV at work here but his car's filthy so it's a bit difficult to compare at the moment! Reading the blurb on the Net it mentions that the wheels on the Cup are "Dark Grey"....?!
Congrat's on your machine, one of nicest ever build if I may say so..! A friend of mine has a V6 TB, oww only the sound makes me melt away... brr back to life, I'm rather happy with my TwinSpark'ed GTV. Hope you'll enjoy it much!
OK this is slightly off topic but I got round to washing the car at the weekend.... one thing that's always annoyed me when polishing the car is the white flaky residue you get with Autoglym...does anyone have any good tips for getting rid of this easily?
P.S. Thankfully no stone chips yet
Kenny just a thought, how long did you leave the polish on for before trying to take it off? Which type of Autoglym Super (red label) or Extra(gold)? I use the Extra and it is always best if you leave it for an hour before going back over it.
Using this, its normally fairly easy to get a good shine without to much effort!
Have a look at Autoglyms website for more handy tips. www.autoglym.co.uk
I was using the red stuff....I didn't leave it on for too long, probably about 10-15mins. I'm going to go and get some of the gold stuff at lunchtime and give that a try. I've had a look at the Autoglym site, looks like there's a few other products I could try...liquid hard wax for one!!
P.S. If I get to go to Spring Alfa Day then my car will be the one you'll need sunglasses to look at
