I know the Spider's window/door/rubber construction is not perfect. I have a serious leaking door (window?) at the drivers side. Also a lot of noise when speeding. There seems to be a small gap between the window and the edge of the soft roof.
What is the best thing to do; a mechanic already tried to 'fix' it but nothing changed. Maybe go to a specialist/Alfa dealer that knows SPiders and let them have another go? Any suggestions?
mine seems fine, have heard that coz they are frameless, if people close the door by pushing the window they go out of line, shouldn't be a problem to re-align the window, I'd go to Alfa dealer and get them to make sure it ligns up tight to the seal.
Hi Vincent, believe it or not there are 12 adjustments on that window to get it to line up exactly and special tools to act as a guide to frame it properly. Definately take it to a dealer who should do the job properly but it does take time and be prepared for probably at least an hours labour.
MAde an appointment and indeed the Alfa Dealer assured me that they have several ways to adjust the window. On the other hand they (again) pointed out that leaking at certain wind directions and heavy rain, is always an issue..
I'll post the results of the fix next week.
