Frozen Door locks

With the cold weather at the moment I wonder if any other GTV and Spider ownwers have been unable to get in to their car.My drivers door lock/button froze the other day and with no handle to pull I couldn`t get in .I ended up getting in from the passenger side!

All cars and doors on any thing suffer in these conditions, glad you managed to get in though. I hope you didnt rip any rubber seals.

I always tend to apply wd40 liberally to the locks and a rubber lubricant on the door seals to stop these problems... thankfully its worked so far

Yep - I've had a bit of trouble getting into the GTV, but I found it kind of funny. I'd hit the button & the locks would pop up ... then back down.
Did that a few times, then turned the key in the lock. Lock popped up ... then down.
OK, so it got boring fast, but the locks opened after a few minutes of fiddling.

I've had the same trouble with freezing locks, I poured some warm (not boiling) water over the locks and along the door and they defrosted straight away
