OK the result is in...
I replaced the subframe, The whole process has cost me well over $1,500... So word of advice, be careful when installing powerflex bushes.
I have lots of spare parts for the rear if anyone needs any just pm me.
Parts of the subframe are welded hence, it can be welded. People in the industry weld these all the time on lots of cars. Mechanics have admitted when they have wrecked lugs before by fixing suspension they have got them welded without even telling the owner
and its 100% safe and you wouldnt even know.
At the time it was much easier, quicker (more expensive) to get a new subframe and replace it but now I have done it all it was a pain in the *** and I wish I saved money and just got it welded.
You need to strip the frame which is all the arms, suspension, brakes, brake lines, cables, exhaust, heat sheilds EVERYTHING.. Take out 4 bolts that hold the subframe then lower it down with a jack and slide it out. Put the new subframe in put everything back on it. Then bleed the brakes and make sure the whole time the brake master cylinder never went dry during the whole process. Then a major wheel alignment needs to be done and in my case a new battery.
If anyone needs advise or anything let me know. oh yeah, the 2L and 3L are exactly the same, arms, subframe, brakes etc its all the same.
I hope I never have to go through this again it sucked!
