I was thinking about reducing the height of the stick a bit as well.
But my question is: There's no visible gripping points or screws on the OEM gearknob, so how will the other one sit in place once I've replaced it? Don't tell me I'll have to use araldite or something?
it is held on by pure force, with the flat blade part on the stick locating in the new gearknob. i think there is an internal lip that locates over the shaft. unless you mean the other OEM one is not the same as the original, in which case, god knows mate
Ok so I've yanked off the knob (less pleasureable than it sounds) and I'm left with this thing that I can only describe as a mace like top to the stick! Now obviously, the new knob won't fit over the top of that, so could I please have some advice? Pics attached of what it's like now and the new (to me) OEM knob.
