Rear tyres rubbing on my V6
I've got a V6 GTV with the standard 17" teledials on. Should have 225/45/17s which is what is on the front. Mate of mine was getting rid of his tyres which had good tread on them and they were 235/45/17s. As they were free and the same type (Eagle F1 Asym) I had two of them to replace my bald ones on the rear.
Now, I've just checked the pressures of them and they are 28 (rear) when they should be 36? Would this on its own result in them rubbing if I went over bumps in the road (for e.g. motorways, or fast roads where you can't drive round the bumps/dips)? Or would this be a factor, but if I inflated them to the correct pressure, they would still rub?
I really need to know your thoughts today, as I'm going to Bristol Auto Moto on Sat and if need to change them before going there I will need to do it tomorrow.
Thanks very much
Hope to see you at Bristol!
