Clean Butterfly

About 4 years ago when I first fitted the BMC CDA I cleaned the butterfly valve. The car had done about 35k miles and the butterfly and inlet were filthy. I cleaned with carb cleaner and felt much happier with it.
The car has been serviced several times since and I have cleaned the CDA once in the meantime. Last weekend I decided to clean the CDA agaiin (long process to do it the way I like to including a couple of days in the airing cupboard to dry and a few days to ensure the oil is soaked in again). I thought I may as well clean the butterfly and inlet too, but to my amazement they were virtually spotless still. This encourages me that the CDA does what it should do above all else - ie clean and filter the air well - and that it is safe and won't damage the MAF. Another reason to recommend the BMC CDA.
