Re: Time for new bushes?
The front wishbones have two bushes, and a balljoint which wears also. Easier and more cost effective to replace complete unit. Available for around £50 each. Simplified guide on the alfaworkshop.co.uk website will give you an idea of what you are dealing with. Only 'special' tool you will need is a balljoint separator which is easily obtainable.
The TCA's will have little or no effect on ride height. It is rare to find a car that does measure equally, mainly down to the difficulty in taking the measurement, eg. is the road surface perfectly level across all four wheels? In reality the front trim should be measured from the centre of the steering knuckle fastening screw, to the centre of the front pin on the TCA (wishbone) not the floor!
Then get your alignment checked, change your tyres, and you never know, you might be OK! (Of course there is always a tendency to scrub inside edges on this type of car due to the set up, it's just a case of keeping it to a minimum)
Best of luck.
