Re: Best handling Alfa?
Alfasuds are generally acknowledged to be one of the sweetest handling cars of all time, never mind best Alfa.
To this day, I have never driven anything that could hold a corner as resolutely as my 1981 Sprint, save for a track prepared Elise. The Sprint regularly left passengers speechless.
I am sure the GTV is good but it is never talked about in the same elevated tones.
That said, I have an old car mag somewhere where they put a number of cars around Mallory Park ( I think). Lap times and fastest speed through each corner were recorded for all cars, and cars included the Caterham, Elise, Impreza, the original Golf VR6 and a TS GTV amongst others. Whilst the GTV was well off on lap times it actually did score a fastest cornering speed.......through the chicane. Very commendable given the company.
