Cry Like A Baby Help Please! Sealing of fan switch in new radiator

Just changed the rad on my 916 2.0TS, after stringing a leak. The replacement is an aluminium one with plastic tanks in place of the original brass/copper one.

All completed, then noticed a leak around the fan switch. Tried using PTFE tape, still leaked. I've changed the sealing washer under the switch, but it now has to seal against plastic rather than the brass tank and I don't think it compresses enough to create the joint.

Any one else had the problem, and can offer some advice?.......Thanks.

A smear of silicon sealent usually works, but you MUST let it go off/ set before you start the engine. Also Blue Hylomar is good gear and can also be used for sealing things like waterpumps, rockerbox, rad hoses ect.
