Re: GTV 2.0 TS thermostat
Flushing is a good idea, rads often silt up at the bottom, a hose up the out pipe with the in open will get rid of most of of it.
I'm also fussy and didn't like he discoloured header. I took it in to the wife's kitchen, filled it with methanol solvent and left for half an hour to soften to goo then flushed with water. Then the real trick is to use some tiny balls. I think think they are copper and intended for cleaning decanters where you can't get to the bottom (don't know where Mrs Beaton got them from, sorry). Poor them in with a bit of soapy water and shake vigously, drain out into a sive for re use. repeat as required. FOE GODS's SAKE MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL OF THEM OUT AT THE END! Harder than it sounds they hide.
Works a treat.
