Brakes and tyres are what I'd consider (from my uninformed position) to be the most important things to do to the car, just from a safety point of view.
The majority of the "car prep" money will be spent on servicing to make sure the car is capable of the trip.
The rear seats will be coming out anyway, we all know they are the most pointless parts of the car.

For me, it's more about just seeing the track and having a go. I enjoy the history and I really just want to say that I've been there and done that. As a result I'd just be taking it at my own pace, I'm just an average driver without Schumacher skills, so it's for the best.
I take it I should be looking at the usual GTV gremlins list for things to sort out before going.
Is engine cooling a concern at all?
