Well, I did it all this morning, checked the spark plugs (fine), checked the actual HT Lead connections (fine) and did an ECU reset.
Bottom line is, the hesitancy is still there, although when I initially set out, it didn't appear, then it started to get intermittent, and finally the car seemed to lack somewhat in acceleration, after about 20 minutes of driving, as if it was running on 4 cylinders only.
Remember, this is all only
when I put my foot down, under normal driving conditions everything is fine!
When I got home, I re-checked the HT Lead connections and they were all normal, so it would appear nothing is working loose, especially as the hesitancy is only appearing 5 minutes or so into the drive, and then gets progressively worse (under acceleration).
Question is, what is causing it to get noticeably worse, the longer I drive it?
I really do not want to change the HT Leads unless absolutely convinced they are at fault, but if the performance of HT leads degrades when they get hot, then perhaps some of you guys may be able to point this out.
Otherwise, what could it be? I'm scratching my head here, and would appreciate your thoughts.....
