What we reckon
Been looking at cars, some okay, one apalling that i'm sure was dodgy.
Anyway found one which appears to be okay. However in the papers we've been given to look at we find the following...
(jobs done)...'remove cylinder head, stripdown on bench and examine components, remove all 8 exhaust valves, reface cylinderhead, regrinde all valves and reassemble with new caskets and seals, fit new cambelt kit and balance shaft belt and tensioner, drive belt and tensione, refit cylinderhead and ancillary, renew coolant/water pump'.
A few questions
1)whats happened to need this amount of work (£1350.00)
2)why are valves ground down and not replaced.
The work was done by northern alfa specialist and car has done 15,000 miles since work done.
Your thoughts please.
