Re: How to make her lighter? Maybe some carbon engine hood?
I think that the two most cost effective weight loss options are the wheels and seats. The wheels being the most important, lower rotational mass gives more performance gain than just the simple weight loss. I was wondering how much the seats weighed and 24kgs is pretty heavy, so some nice track biased replacements (with appropriate trimming for a road car) should save you a good 10kg a seat.
You have already knocked out quite a bit of weight with flywheel and exhaust - nice one! But going carbon on the hood and anywhere else is probably not a cost effective option, if you want a really light car (and we all know the advantages of that) you would be better off buying a Lotus. In essence you are trying to reverse engineer a fabulous GT into a sports car. By all means lighten the car as much as you can, I for one would love to know how low you can go, but don't do it at the expense of the character of the car.
