Just a quick question to those who have done this mod... Cutting the foam. I'm a about to do this today.. Starting with the passenger seat, as my spider had leak on the side and the seat foam was really wet. Whould steam up car every day and the last straw was with all this freezing, it was all frozen, not rock solid but tough. Also ice on the inside of the window. So it was time to take out the seat and bring it in to dry.
So what areas are we looking at with cutting the foam back.. Just where you bum sits or all over the whole base? Same for the back, just at the bottom lumber, or a bit off the whole thing?
I'm also going to take washers out, keeping 5mm on the front. That should be ok?
Also as the seat's been out for a few days, the wife had our other car and I urgently needed to go out so had to use the spider.. No seat, inevitably has set off the airbag light. I'll get the drivers done as well whilst it's on.. But is it best to take it to a garage to turn off or can I buy a lead, and a free version of alfadiag? Does it actually work? I tried several years ago with my old 156 but nothing happened. Could have been the **** laptop at the time
