Re: Anyone know where my GTV went?
Thanks, it's actually been fun. Because I don't need the car I have the time to do things properly without any time constraints so it's a nice change. Work on the TS is always underpressure because I need it the next day.
ok, the nasties that bit me were;
rounded bolt heads on the wishbones (no big deal but a pain)
sheared bolt through the chassis runner plate to the subframe (probably done at the same time as the wishbones).
sheared stud in the exhaust downpipe with a nut 'n bolt bodge to hold it together. I haven't fixed this yet and it's still annoying me with a slight blow there.
and the really really nasty one was one of the M16 gearbox mounting bolts had been put in crossthreaded and stripped half the thread from the diff casing.
Also the centre exhaust mount was made from rust and needed replacing. It's out of production now though so I had to fabricate a whole new mount myself!
Edit: Yes I will be keeping it on teledials! they do look a bit....odd now it's lower though. I was thinking about graphite ultraleggera's but anything like that will be a long way off
