If I saw your car [in Wales] I would wave back, thats one tasty GTV, stunning colour combination. Like the private plate too!

TSs could have the aerokit too - & it was only an option for V6s. Mine is wingless which is my preference.

aww I did not know that..thanks. To be totally honest I do not like the wing/spoiler I believe it detracts from the overall shape and lines of the GTV. I believe/thought the wing/spoiler has a purpose though in aiding the handling especially on the beastie V6.

Spotted the car again, this time it was parked at the Level in Brighton, so I did a U-y and had a chat with the driver. Turns out it wasn't Anthony Worall Thompson

Several times over last couple of weeks seen a red series 2 (possibly twinspark) on my way to work in East Kilbride, very shiny!

Usually on the other side of the expressway or on a roundabout so still not got managed a wave.

Quite right, spoilers spoil Apparently the wing & front lip do increase top speed by 4-5mph for the V6 (I think its in the handbook) Works by smoothing the airflow particularly off the rear so reduces drag, rather than aiding stability/handling/downforce, which would actually slow it down. So in the real world there is no detectable benefit, but at least no drag. In fact extra weight & faff of a chin spoiler that gets knocked off on kerbs & bumps.

Blue Spider, lady driver, roof down. Seen heading south past the Spar filling station (Millwards if you've lived round here long enough!) in Wirksworth about 5:15 this evening. No wave back so doubt it was one of you!

Often reported problem but I'm sure its just a matter of taking a bit of care. I whacked the non-aero spoiler on mine once in a hospital multistorey, but I was leaving in a hurry ...

Red Ph1 Spider TS with private plate and Alfa boot rack in Harpenden station car park today. Parked next to it and put an AO flyer on the windscreen. I was back before the Red spider owner, so the only thing they'd know is that tehy'd been flyered - apologies if you're already on here!

silver GTV tonight at 6 northbound on roundabout A41 near Elstree/Bushey. I was on other side in the Bongo so no opportunity of "letting on" (suitably northern expression for those north of Watford gap?). I can do northern vernacular and had black pudding for breakfast today.

Vela Blue GTV turning east into Alexandra Park Road London N10 from Colney Hatch Lane just before 8 this morning as I was waiting at traffic lights roof-down. I gave a big wave, driver looked the other way. Perhaps thought I was mad. Who's to say he isn't right?

Perhaps he had spotted you were northern

I let a silver spider (EN02 ***) cross my bows on the A23 in Patcham (Brighton) this evening. Got a thank you and then I think his Mrs pointed out that our cars looked the same and I got a wave.

Bunch of Cups/GTV's and Spiders heading along the A22 near TUnbridge Wells, I was on the way back from camping in the South Downs, in my very dusty grey 156 GTA SW. I've never had so many waves in 5 seconds!
