Re: Which clutch and fly wheel?
It wasn't cheap. I think the conversion kit containing the flywheel, clutch, adaptor plate, flywheel bolts, clutch bolts etc came to about £450. Think this is a bit more than EB Spares advertise but I didn't have time to order stuff on-line. Gearbox oil was another £15. My garage got the parts but that's what is says on the reciept. They also checked the price of a new DMF for comparison, that was £440 plus the price of the clutch! Labour was £320 but I also had a Q2 fitted. The only difference in the fitting of a GTV flywheel and GTA flywheel (as I understand it) is that the GTA flywheel has 8 bolts and the GTV flywheel has 6 bolts or something like that, thus the need for an adaptor plate.
I also got a price from EB Spares for just a replacement GTV clutch when I decided to replace it. £165 plus carriage and VAT.
If I'd have ordered all the stuff on-line I probably could have saved myself some money but didn't really have time as the clutch started making noises and I didn't like driving it around like that.
All in all if you need a new clutch I'd be ready to have to have the DMF replaced too. I didn't know I needed a new flywheel until it was inspected. The GTA flywheel and clutch is a better setup in my opinion and although expensive, cheaper than a new DMF and GTV clutch.
