Re: Wiper brackets missing after car wash.
This is why I never let anyone clean my car. That and the fact that nobody can get it as clean as me.
The amount of times I've seen the guys, who operate in car parks these days, with dirty old rags and sponges. They couldn't care less if they drop the sponge on the floor - leaving grit all over it - and who knows what cheap rubbish they're using on the car. I guarantee it won't be AG or Meguiars or the like. Cheap waxes (also wash 'n' wax cheapo stuff) can actually leave a sticky residue (not discernible to the touch obviously) which attracts dust/grit etc. £1 wash 'n' wax products will leave a car looking nearly as good as more expensive products, but the protection will be zero.
I actually enjoy cleaning my car and I'll try to give the Alfa a wash and chamois every week, weather permitting. And every few months I'll give it a good wax/polish.
With reliability will ultimately come monotony.....
