2.0 TS Cambelt Change
Just really looking for a bit of advice on this one:
Had my P2 99 2.0 TS Spider: Lusso for about a year. It's just ticked over today onto 50,000 miles.
As it's MOT/Service time, I thought that I had better look at what else needs changing.
Looking through previous posts the Cambelt is generally due at around 36K. My book/receipts state that the "belt and the balancing of the shaft belt" was last done at 27,500 in 2005. but the cost of the change was only £85.80, which seems a bit cheap.
Obviously this means that just the belt was done, so my question is how important is the change of the "auxiliary drive belt, three tensioners and cambelt idler"?, as those parts will have done 50K.
Basically I would hate to leave it until 63500 miles to change the lot, if they are well overdue for a change.
