Engine Warning Light from Over Rev?

Hi All,

Took my new GTV Cup for a spin today and probably it's first real 'drive'... goes really well generally, no issues, but, on the way back I noticed that the engine warning light had come on.

Now I know the car's ECU has been re-mapped at some stage and I guess it's possible the rev limiter has been disabled or perhaps moved quite high. So I was wondering, could briefly going up to say 7100-7300RPM trigger the warning light?

Just to be clear, I've not damaged the car at all, not physically at least, just curious as to whether the above is a possible scenario... I'm going to buy a cable and AlfaDiag or similar to check the code out shortly, but if anyone could validate or rubbish the above theory, it would be interesting to know!

Cheers guys!
