Fuse Box replacement?
First thread on the GTV forum, so hello to all. Have owned a GTV for 3 years and not sure why I took so long to join up!
Looks like I've got fuseboxitis. Found a 30A rated boiled sweet in the footwell back in the summer, and found the fuse for the rear screen was still in the fuse box, amongst some melted plastic. It seemed to be usable, so I stuck a new fuse in, and the same happened.
Not wanting to play with fire (touch wood) I'm going to check out that branch of the electrics, but was thinking of replacing the fuse box as well to be safe, as it's pretty mangled - is this easily do-able?
The harness seems quite tight when I try to pull the fuse box down. Is it safe to pull it fairly hard? I want to at least check the connectors on the back, and maybe wire in a separate 30A inline fuse.
