Re: ABS on phase Ts GTV
I have to say my ABS definitely works, but the feel through the pedal is quite subtle compared to the heavy vibration it would cause in my last car. I do hear the front wheels struggle for grip (or I have, on the few occasions it's come on) but there's no loss of steering control. I would suggest taking your car out on a wet road and trying a full on panic stop from about 30mph in an area where you KNOW you can do this safely. If the front wheels lock completely and slide expensively along the tarmac then your ABS has a problem and needs checking out by a mechanic. If they struggle for grip but there's no loss of overall control then all is probably well, but since you've asked this question you obviously have a doubt and as such, it might still be a good idea to have it looked at.
I'll take no responsiblity for any unsavoury consequences of above mentioned testing method.
There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those that can read binary, and those who can't.
