battery change/ flashing fkn indicators

after a cold snap here in edinburgh...battery died.

got it changed yesterday and all is well, so no alternator issues.

but now my indicators...front side and back...flash for about 30 secs when getting in or or out of the car. that occasionally is fixed by switching on, then off, the hazards????

have recently looked over the whole fuse system, and basically ok, but for a "stitch on" repair to some kind of relay in the driver seat, front fuse board.

here is a key point!...lost my alarm fob (i guess original for a 1999 ts) ages ago, but had no probs like that before.

its gonna cost me 300 for a new alarm if thats the fault, and i am off on me hols in a week.

so a no-no.

what can it be?....any ideas?....i'm a noobie to cars, but i am guessing that its maybe something to do with the car "retuning" and finding its feet after an electrical shut down?

but i am also now worried that there may be an issue with the alarm draining the battery.
