This morning I was driving in a reasonably spitired manner when I hit a bump and immediately the MIL light came on. The car is driving with reduced power and much less responsive. I assume some sort of sensor has failed. It feels like a MAF problem but I can't see why it should have happened at a bump. I have checked the air-intake housing and it is sound. Also at MOT yesterday my lambda reading was 1.015 instead of the usual 1.003 or so. Would a sudden bump affect a lambda probe? Also considering crank-position-sensors.
I have a basic OBD-II reader so will try that next and see what fault code I find.
