Re: Sticky clutch pedal
The master cylinder I would have thought to be nearer the drivers footwell than the slave cylinder. I know with these cars the clutch linkage is hydraulic. i.e you press clutch pedal, the fluid in the master cylinder is forced down to the slave which in turn pushes the rod connecting to the thrust bearing, thus pressure plate which relieves force between the clutch disc and the flywheel, disconnecting the crankshaft from the drive shaft.
I think there could be a problem with one of the cylinders themselves rather than a simple linkage problem, could be wrong though. I would have thought i would most likely be feeling a problem with the master, rather than the slave, as the slave is connected hydraulically, not directly to the clutch pedal. but then again any forces exterted in the slave should be being transmitted upto the pedal through the fluid linkage too.
I think it's too awkward to get in there without the car on a ramp.
