Hmmm always going backwards

Just noticed yesterday that my reverse lights are perm on (with ignition) Anyone any ideas on this one?

Only a guess I'm afraid but sounds like the switch is " stuck " On or the wires on/going to the switch are shorted together. No idea where the switch is located but it has to be mechanically connected to the gearstick somewhere.

You could try forcefully moving the gearstick several times to see if this will free it but even if this does work it's only a temporary solution and I suspect that a new switch will be required.

Sorry this is only general 'leccy advice, hopefully someone will be along soon who knows where the switch is, this will be the first place to look

i think i read that the switch is on the gearbox casing. i have the opposite problem, the lights don't work at all since getting the Q2 and box sorted.

New switch is cheap and does indeed live on the gearbox casing.
