New GTV V6 - niggles
Enjoying driving the new GTV I have. I took it in p/ex against my GTA a few days ago and was as little sceptical, but it is a cracking little drive! It seems to have nearly as much power as the GTA but gets there a little slower, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, i'm having a "power" issue that you might be able to help with. THe car ticks over fine, albeit a little more erratically than my GTA. The main issue is that if you but your foot down it seems to be misfiring, or maybe flooding. If I stand and rev the car it is fine, also if I gently go through the revs with a little throttle it is also fine. But if I put my foot down at around 2.5k revs a little too far, you can feel the engine hesitating as though the mixture is wrong. Once above say 3500 revs it seems to clear.
I've had a similar problem with the wifes 147 which required the coil to be replaced - anyone got any ideas? The car engine sounds absolutely gorgeous so I doubt its a mechanical issue.
On a side note, I notice the car has gone through a few MAFS in its life, having one fitted about a year ago - genuine Alfa by the looks of it.
