Badge is in the wrong position on the dash.....
I notice on the Cup advertised on the boot lid the Cup badge has been moved to the right hand side where it should be on the left hand side, and a GTV badge has appeared on the left hand side where the Cup badge should be.
First two things I thought,
The plaque is in the centre instead of the left, and the word Cup on the boot should be on the left so it reads "GTV Cup" not "GTV..........Cup".
The plaque I can forgive, as it would seem not everyone has it in the same place, I've heard that some have it in the centre, although I've only
every seen them on the left.
One thing that does make me think though is the boot badges. They're in the wrong position, plain and simple.
That leads me to suspect one of two things....
1) It's been moved for vanity purposes... but why would you do that?!
2) The boot has been replaced at some point and the guy doing the work and simply stuck the 'Cup' on the right where the engine details would normally go, not realising it should go on the left.
So, out of those two options, number two is more likely. Which leads us to think 'Why replace the boot?'... rear-ender?
If anyone goes to see this car, check two things...
1) If it's been involved in a rear-ender, or at least ask why the boot lid's been replaced.
2) Check it says 'Cup' on the V5. It's not a Cup without it.
I don't know this car or this guy, so this is all speculative. It's worth double checking everything especially when potentially you could be spending £2k over the odds.
