Re: Gtv Rims Wheels

I'm running these 17" Wheels from the current GT, was originally looking for a car with Teledials but this swayed me.....

Seen these on E-Bay, think they would look good on a GTV/Spider.

that's what i thought too (not a bad thing really!), though the spokes are more recessed on those.

I've always been keen on these:

i dont know why wheel traders try and sell these as alfa wheels when clearly they are golf GTI replica wheels.

i would not recommended any polished face alloys that were replica wheels as the manufacturers seem to put the lacquer on far too thin resulting in early corrosion.
i have personnel experience of this on some replica AMG wheels, i had to get them refurbed and spray painted all over instead of the polished face.
so the 675 inc tyres soon becomes 925!!

ps, buy wheels that are a known brand.

Re: Gtv Rims Wheels

iv never ever seen the atraction with the multispoke alloys but those Momo ones look stunning. In my opinion the gtv looks best with 17 or 18inch 5spoke alloys or the teledials

Re: Gtv Rims Wheels

8.5J seems to be fitting. Here i found some interesting wheels from Germany.
Tomason TN1. The closest they come to GTV spec is 8,5x18"
5x100 ET30. Look little like superleggeras, but more edgy. Very good on the gtv, not so on the spider.
If the ET is less than 35, do we need spacers or only if the ET is more than 35 (little confused on this)?

Re: Gtv Rims Wheels

They look ok on the GTV above maybe if they werent as shiny maybe a bit more of a grey/silver matte tone instead of chrome/ silver they would be good. The shape itself is good where did you find them?

Re: Gtv Rims Wheels

GTV picture is overexposed, therefore the wheels look like chrome, actually they are just silver painted.
Wheel color is not a problem, to repaint them is cheap. I too prefer dark (not black) wheels myself.
Found the pictures on: Alfa Forum - Die Alfa Romeo Community auf alfisti.net gallery. The info on wheels got throug the manufacturers site: Tomason Felgen - Felgendesign der besonderen Art

The wheels look ok, but there are much nicer options out there.

et30 should be just right, as they are 8.5J the inner edge of the wheel will be ((8.5-7)/2) = 0.75" = 19mm closer to the suspension parts, which will be a tight fit. et35 with an 8.5J rim would need spacers I think.

I love the OZ's, but they need to be big (18-19") to look good!
