Tb problem coldstart

when I start the gtv(v6 tb) in the morning I have to let it run iddle for 2/3min. She runs then an 4 or 5 cyl only. After few minutes she starts to run smoothly. It only happens when the car is cold.
spark plugs changed,ignition cables changed,delco(orange ignition box...)changed.
what could I check also?
I noticed there is white smoke for a few min from coldstart
don't know yet if I loose cooling fluid

Re: Tb problem coldstart

Check injectors/cables to injectors. Could be one of them is fouled slightly or has a bad connector that goes away once everything has warmed up a bit?

Otherwise, it sounds like the cold-start programming is 'causing' it. Maybe check all relevant items; temperature sensor, inlet temperature sensor ect.

Oh and my TB steams like nothing else with temperatures <12ºC, once the exhaust has warmed up the 'steaming' goes away. It's just a condensation thing; velocity of gas in the exhaust vs. temperature. Oh and I'm not loosing coolant, my previous ride (205XS steamed in a similar way)

Re: Tb problem coldstart

You know, mine has the same problem in that it doesn't run as smoothly cold as when warm (but I have no problems starting off on a cold morning), but the issue does disappear when it warms up..... sort of 'hiccups' when putting the foot down after 5 - 10 minutes or so. The MAF is OK (thank goodness!) and as it is fine after 15 minutes, I am not going to do anthing about it.....
