Re: Car Tax
I'm realising the rant room might have been a better place for me to start this thread.
You buy a car, and (tell me if I'm missing anything out) you pay:
Well, first you pay income tax and NI on the money you're gonna use, then -
Insurance premium tax when you insure it
Tax on fuel
Tax on tyres
Tax on servicing
Tax on consumables (oil, coolant, whatever)
Now I'm not being deliberately negative here, but is it not true that once you have your car, you'll pay tax every time you look at it, and all the tax you pay is paid with money on which you've already been taxed?
This is not right.
There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those that can read binary, and those who can't.
Driving: Vela Blue V6 Gtv 5spd, blue Momo leather
Gone but sorely, sorely missed:
Meteor Grey Gtv Lusso | 17" Teledials | Bilstein rear shocks | Ragazzon straight thru s/s centre exhaust | Some crappy Halfords air filter. Perfect condition and still 220bhp after 95k
