Re: Xenon bulbs for GTV's?
The problem with a Xenon kit is first and foremost, jo public does not know the difference between degrees Kelvin and light intensity. Then there's the fact that in a standard light unit, the reflective portion of the light is designed for Halogen lamps. The appearance we get form a Xenon kit is more light as our misguided belief is that the whiter the light, the brighter light. There is some truth in this in that Xenon kits do indeed output more light but the distance this light travels is far inferior to your yellow Halogens that don't look as bling! Xenon kits are crap and give you less distance and an enormous amount of glare that molests oncoming traffic.
Sorry but Xenon kits should be outlawed.
The blue filter on a Philips light does not necesarily mean that as it's filtering, it's going block light. This is not true. The photons released will travel the same distance and give out the same intensity, the only difference is that the blue filter will alter the light temperature.
Ok, so I can talk about lights all bleedin day because it forms a big part of my job, so I'll shut up now!!
