Recently replaced both rear hubs inclusive of bearings - having re assembled I was very disappointed to find that the offside in particular still had some end float on it!! Due to be MOT'd soon any advice - anyone suffered similasr problems with this model (1996 2.0 TS)?

Rear Wheel Bearing Issue

Were the bearings supplied with shims? Did you notice evidence of any shims when you removed the old ones? If not I would advise removing the bearing, cleaning the stub-axle, re-greasing, re-fitting and re-torquing.

Also I was wondering if you could give me some help. I also have a 1996 Spider 2.0 TS, and cannot find reliable information online as to the torgue settings for the rear wheel bearings. Moreover, do you know if there is a decent workshop manual for this model? Haynes dont appear to have published one.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Good luck with yours.
