Re: GTV 2.0 Tspark Head Gasket gone!!!
We got the engine all back together, can't think of any step missed, but there STILL seems to be water getting into the chambers???
The car kind of starts, but it struggles. It will tick over for a bit, but very lumpy. If you try and rev it, it just died initially, but then after a couple of attempts, you could hold it about 2000rpm, and it would rev there quite happily. You could then rev the engine to say 3000, and it would still be fine. Release the throttle, and it would just die.
Whilst the engine was revving, it looked like a lot of steam was coming from the exhaust, and if you held your hand in front of the exhaust, you could feel splashes of water???
My friend who is helping me, said that there is still water getting into the bores. I kind of agree.
What could possibly be wrong??? I had the head pressure tested and skimmed, new head gasket set, all torqued down correctly. How else could water still be getting in???
Any help would be really appreciated
