I had my new Alpine stereo fitted - along with a sub/amp - the other day. I soon realised, after already leaving the fitters, that the aerial wasn't working.
I returned to the fitters, who, after checking the wiring, said everything was fine. They agreed to replace the aerial for free. While waiting for the replacement, my aerial worked, once. On the first statrt of the day it'll go up/down. If I turn the stereo off and on again it'll not work again, not until a few hours later.
I've sinced removed the unit, taken it apart and all seems fine; no corrosion, all lubricated fine. Oh and I have a pink and black plugged lead residing near the aerial, what's that?
Anyway, have the fitters cocked up, is it a pure coincidence and my aerial is simply buggered, or what? Cheers in advance for any help.
P.S. Since checking out the aerial my boot light no longer works, I don't use it but I'd like to know why. Bloody Alfa wiring is weird.
