Having had both I would say it depends on what you're after.
Let's ignore the obvious higher running costs of fuel, insurance, road tax and servicing costs - I'm sure you've taken all of these into account.
I'd summarize as follows:
220bhp gives the V6 amazing grunt - never got over that kick up the backside the V6 gave you.
V6 sounds great.
V6 engine is a heavy lump at the front of the car so not the greatest for handling in the twisty bits with standard suspension set-up.
V6 needs to be lowered and giving some adjustable shockers for best handling
TSpark whilst not having the out and out power handles better with standard set up.
But if you're moving up from an Almera...can I suggest the TSpark then V6 route?
So if you want GTV style, image, economy and handling go for the TSpark.
But if you want the power, sound and best engine for the GTV then go for the V6.
You choose. Personally...............V6 every time.
But get the suspension sorted out.
